A key part of the client’s vision was a gable end made entirely of glass. To achieve this, we needed to vault the interior roof, which required close collaboration with the structural engineer to maintain the integrity of the build.
This detail presented challenges, but it also added a dramatic dimension to the internal space and significantly enhanced its visual appeal. With careful planning and coordination, we ensured that the structural requirements were met without compromising on design.
The finished extension is a stylish, functional space filled with bespoke details. Oak flooring and solid oak doors bring warmth and quality throughout. Designer radiators were installed in the living room, kitchen, hallway and bathroom, adding both function and visual interest.
White Venetian blinds offer a clean, elegant finish, while the custom-built oak and glass staircase leads up to a spacious open gallery landing with a seating area. French doors open out to a south-facing garden, connecting the interior with the landscape beyond.
